Gimme gimme gimme
What a difference. Mr. Obama is being what all presidents should be. Cordial, educated and open to discussions. Can you remember Bush and his arrogance, his way to move around like an ox in a glass shop, his mentally retarded comments and attitudes? Thank god those days are over, and now they have this agreeable black man.
There is no question that Europe loves this guy. Everywhere he goes he is received like an old friend, someone you expected for a long time.
The G20 submit in Strasburg is proving once again that the rich nations do not give a rats ass about the poor. Even countries like Brazil, India and Mexico who have a tremendous portion of its population living below the poverty level are now sending their representatives to the submit full of rhetoric and demagogies. These nations should be the ones pushing a new agenda towards a new economic plan that once and for all fits all. Rather, they are mingling with the big boys offering their raw materials at sale prices so that the rich can continue to be rich and the poor, well the poor…fuck´em.
Established in 1999, G-20 reflects the diverse interests of the systemically significant industrial and emerging-market economies -Which means that their goal is to find ways to get to these markets in the cheapest, most easy ways. Remember that the main issue of this submits is how to face this economic crisis. We all fail to see that in most of the planet the crisis has been going on for decades. So, don’t be fooled, we are there to solve our crisis at any price.
However, among all these thieves and cynics, there is one that beats them all. Mr. Berlusconi. Italians should all go to the streets and demand he is hanged by his balls in a Mussolini style. In honesty I should also mention Mexico’s´ president, Calderon who is taking his country into the dark ages unable to control the Cartels and supporting the most corrupt police in the world, or Saudi Arabia’s `Abd Allah ibn `Abd al-`Aziz Al Faysal Al Sa`ud who is not only a murderer, but also an arrogant piece of shit who believes Allah speaks through his mouth and tells him to decapitate men and lapidate women in public.
But I must still insist that Berlusconi bets them all. Italy’s´ prime minister is the uncle you always pray not to show up at your children’s birthday, - The asshole who says something inadequate at your daughters wedding, the drunk imbecile that sits at your desk and fucks up your night. With a little luck he will fuck up their meeting.

jeeeezzzzz...... anyone else you would like to hang from their balls? Man .... maybe Obama should be on your list too ....
He is. As much as I like him, to be honest he is but a puppet of the powers that be and will always represent the interests of a greedy, selfish glutton nation. Hey, he is first in line man.
Amazing how easily you contradict yourself, Daniel...So we hang the cordial, educated, open-minded and agreeable man along with the arrogant and medieval-minded oil zillionaire and the corrupt media tycoon? Oh wow, that's constructive for you... No allowances for personal integrity or the will to change at least SOME things?... Granted Obama is also part of the capitalist system, but who isn't nowadays? You two?... Or in other words, who deserves NOT to be hung by the gonads, in your enlightened opinion?
COntradiction is part of being human. The fact that we all live in one way does not mean I have to like or keep my mouth shut. I feel that I should expose the way I feel and the things that fuck my mind up.
Hey amigo/a, if you think that living in an economic system that takes from others to give you, then good for you, you might have your reasons. Me, I like to go against the flow and maybe, just maybe someday discover a way to change a little this a little bit, even if that means contradicting mylsef.
Danny, I think Nick's blog enters a more intelligent debate and maybe will have more power at persuading people to change. If you are as much part of the system..then we should all be hanging by our balls!
Debate is wht you want? Will all due respect keep reading Nicks blog (which I read periodically and admire).
I give my point of view and try to give the insight as to what I see is the end of debate. Yes in some cases (many) I am an extrememist and think the world is what it is due to too much debate by the good people and a lot of action by the assholes. So yeah, hangém all high and let the good ones take action.
Don't be so sensitive Danny, all I am saying is that blog often comes across a left wing rhetoric which is as dangerous as right wing rhetoric. People who come from any further right that you will dismiss it and rhetoric and those who are already on the left will agree and move on. So what I am saying is that if you are trying to change people's opinions then you will not do it this way. Also you admit yourself that you are a contradiction also..you fly around the world, you have a flat screen tv or the latest gadget. So to make people believe your point of view you have to have reasoned argument backed up with evidence otherwise it is merly an opinion..but then again maybe that is all you want to do..get thins of your chest.
Oh stop it with the sensitivity thing bro it sounds patronizing. No one is sensitive here. I am not keen on changing anyones idea of the world rather than to expose mine. As a matter of fact I think that with the information we are offered today, we all shoudl have a clear mind about most stuff, if not it is becasue we chose to. And it is not my blog that will change anyones mind.
Then again I fail to see the connection between my plasma Tv and the this issue. DO yo mean to say I am a hypocrite? Do you mean to say I don´t live what I preech? I don´t get it and don´t want to fly to conclusions. I know you ed, and you know me, and some commentaries are a little off the course. And yes amigo, this is an opinion blog, it is not a source for statictics or vital information on issues, I am not a journalist, I am writting about things you read on the news and give my opinion on it. No offense meant amigo, none taken.
Not sure how it is patronizing..maybe your tone sounded a little agressive..hence my comment. I disagree with the information we recieve today should make everything clear, but that is another debate. I guess yes you are a hypocrite as are all of us, so I get a little exhausted with the blog..damn this damn that..maybe we should all look at our own behaviour as well. So if your blog is an opinion..then fair enough and that is why no offense is taken but if I think you are wrong or a hypocrite (as am I) then I will do. Have a good holiday.
Good point. No offense taken and hope non sent. Indeed you are right, we are all hypocrites, and some of us (i like to think I am one) try and dedicate large portions of our lives to deal with all this in our own humble ways. I know you are too. Thus all this mumbo Jumbo is a mere way of saying that after years of dealing with debates and reports, and statitics someone (in my opinion) should say enough, and fukc this and fuck that becuase it is said from the standpoint of someone in the middle of it all.
Enjoy your holidays too amigo.
And you..I think one thing that fucks it all is democracy and the politics it creates. A great invention democracy but it is still very crude when set in the backdrop of various economic and social systems. I have almost withdrawn into looking after things close to me and try to do that right. Enjoy the sun..at least you have that.
Wow - sounds like I missed quite a ruckus here :) Thanks for the complements anyway. As regards the points being made, I agree with Ed that the aggressive tone that you often use Dan ain't exactly diplomatic but then again, you're not a diplomat, journalist or politician and as a pissed of individual, if you want to vent anger through your blog, you should be able to.
I do think it's important though to maybe try and understand the Bush, Berlusconis and Blairs of the world. At the end of the day, they are following a neo-liberal agenda that makes sense to them and aren't just born "evil" or something. The important thing is to take what works and is good in what they believe in and what isn't.
I think Obama's election proved that people in the US at least don't want someone who slags of the left or the right - there's good and bad to be found in both and it's finding a healthy middle ground that is the challenge. That might sound like a wishy-washy boring liberal viewpoint but I think that people are sick of extremism of all kinds now in politics.
As regards being hypocrites, anyone that criticizes, and yet at the same time benefits, from the society we live in is bound to be to some extent. I guess it's just a case of looking at your own life and deciding if you truly practice what you preach which for most people, is very hard indeed.
Keep up the blogging Dan and keep reading Ed. Whether it's angry bile or general commentary, it always encourages us to think a bit and that can't be a bad thing.
The wise man has appeared throuhg the fog and given his word. Cheers mates.
Probably completely out of context or not? but want to share this with you people. one of my best time in life was working and sharing with poor children in brasil, please check this video
